PASTURE RAISED

The benefits of pasture raised chickens are many. It is better for the birds as access to fresh pasture is healthier for the birds by supplementing their diet with grasses, insects and worms. Allows the birds to behave naturally by foraging, exploring and access to sunshine. It also helps the pasture by moving the birds regularly the manure helps fertilize and improve the soil. Our chicks start life in the brooders to keep warm and to be safe from predators until 3 – 4 weeks depending on the time of year. They are then raised on pasture until processing age.
